Hi, I am Emma Hochstein
Interior Design Student
Work Philosophy
I want to convey design in a creative, innovative way that uses both analytical thinking and trend identifications. It is crucial that my designs reflect and match the emotions of the client. Through this, I can make a space highly functional while also creating an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere for the user(s).
Who I am
Interior Design student at Michigan State University
I am a Junior working towards earning my Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. Being a part of the School of Planning, Design, and Construction has allowed me to gain hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of the course material.
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and that is where I normally reside in the summers. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling, and attending concerts.
While interior design is my main priority, I am also involved in many extracurricular activities. I participate in the Interior Design Student Organization at Michigan State University, the Chi Omega sorority, and intramural sports. I have learned that playing a role in my surrounding environment has had a great impact on my growth as a person.
I am proficient in various computer softwares such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suites, Enscape, and more recently, Revit. I also enjoy hand-drafting and rendering.
